August Meeting and Newsletter |
|
In August Richard Thwaites brought his very nice Boeing Trainer to a show and tell. It says "Stearman" on the tail but Richard assures us that's not the correct name for it, it's just the one everyone uses! It's also sometimes called "Kaydet". The type designation (PT-13, PT-17 etc) varied depending on the engine fitted (Lycoming, Continental, Jacobs) and whether it was used by the US Army Air Force or US Navy.

Some photos of the results appear in the August newsletter. and ...
Belinda Glover used her brand new licence to fly to the meeting, bringing Gary McKirdy along in style! |
